Enter Buddy Streaks — Airlearn’s newest feature designed to help you stay consistent, accountable, and have a little more fun along the way.

What is Buddy Streak?

Think of it as a streak with superpowers — and a sidekick.

Buddy Streak lets you pair up with a friend and build a shared daily streak. For your streak to count, both of you need to complete a lesson that day. If one of you skips, the streak is in danger. If both of you skip… well, let’s not go there.

It’s like a trust fall, but in app form.

Whether you’re learning Spanish with your sister or brushing up on German with your gym buddy, Buddy Streak adds a layer of social accountability to your learning — and some extra motivation to log in, even on the lazy days.

How It Works (a.k.a. the fun part)

📩 Invite Your Buddy

Got a friend on Airlearn already? Perfect. Want to introduce someone new to the language-learning life? Even better.

You can invite up to 5 buddies to start separate Buddy Streaks. These are 1:1 connections — each streak is between you and one other person. Share your invite link, and once your buddy clicks it, you're good to go. No long forms. No complicated approvals. Just instant partnership.

Bonus: If you’ve got access to Buddy Streak, any friend you invite will automatically unlock it too — even if it’s not rolled out to everyone yet!

📅 Learn Daily (Both of You!)

This is the heart of it. Every day, both buddies need to complete at least one lesson in Airlearn. If you do your lesson and your buddy forgets, you’ll see a warning that your streak is in danger.

We make it easy to stay in sync — just head to your Buddy Streaks page to see everyone’s status in real time. You’ll know who’s keeping up… and who needs a gentle nudge.

🔔 Send a Friendly Reminder

Let’s be honest — we all forget sometimes. But a nudge from a friend can work wonders.

From the Buddy Streak page, you can send your buddy a quick reminder if they haven’t done their lesson yet. It’s playful, non-pushy, and surprisingly effective. After all, nobody wants to be that friend who broke the 12-day streak.

Expect messages like:
“👋 Psst! Don’t forget today’s lesson — you’re one day away from a 13-day streak with John!”

Motivation: recharged.
